Since 1981, the National Association of REALTORS have released a yearly Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers. Giving insight into the demographics, preferences, and motivations of current home buyers and sellers, the NAR’s report in turn provides a ‘snapshot’ of current real estate trends. 

And now with over 35 years of compiled data, it is interesting to see how buying a home in the 80’s compares to purchasing a home today.
